Lowes
Lowes exterior shell comprised of concrete, tilt-up panels made in Minnesota and shipped to Michigan on flatbed trucks.
Lowes was a large retail facility that included the full Lowe’s store departments and an exterior garden center. It was built on a sloping lot that housed an apple farm in its past. The store had a 12” stone base to allow for construction with the floor being placed last. The owner requirements were that the floor had to be unblemished and have a natural high shine. If the floor were placed during normal construction, tire marks and fluid displacement from construction equipment would have prevented delivery of the desired floor product. The store was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule and on budget.
